First held in 2014, Kumu Paʻa Lawrence Aki continues to share protocol, Moʻolelo (Stories), Hula (Hawaiian Dance) and Oli (chants) of the island Molokai at the Molokai Hula Bliss & Huakaʻi (Journey). With the dances and the stories you will able to feel and share the aloha with the island itself. Our practitioners of the island and our Hālau (School) invite you to immerse yourself in Hawaiian practices like Hawaiian dance, chanting, laʻau lapaʻau (herbal medicine) and much more. You will visit sacred spaces praised in our hula such as the valley of Halawa that make the words “Aloha ke kahi i ke kahi” (Love one another unconditionally) reveal its essence.

“A very deep experience of ceremonies, story telling, visiting sacred sites, hula, chanting, feeling the interconnectedness with the people, the environment and the ancestors, shared cooking and meals, learning how to function and move as a group, developing rich friendships.”
